While on the subject of tapes, I was reminded that one particular tape/mixtape got released this week, The Weeknd‘s Thursday, the follow-up to the awesome House Of Balloons released in March.

Thursday features the amazingly awesome ‘Rolling Stone’ which I posted a while back, and also a track featuring Ghostface Killah‘s softest n****h for three years straight, Drake (this I joke about since Drake is often cited as a main force in bringing the Weeknd to the mainstream…).

BET ’09 Awards

Ok, so I watched this year’s BET Awards and to sum it all up, J. Foxx and Ne-Yo owned this show. They went ballistic with live performances and tributes to the greatest ‘black’ man himself – MJ.

The NBA was also well represented with crowd appearances in LBJ, Wade, Melo, K-Mart and Al Harrington. LBJ wins ‘Male Athlete of the Year’ yet the crowd chants ‘Kobe’… Dang!

Anyway, I won’t spoil it for everyone. Definitely worth checking out. Just remember to cast your eyes on Zoe Saldana, A. Keys and Keri Hilson especially… Need I say more? Oooooo-weeee =)
