Gorgeous song by Philly street bass proponent Starkey – the US dubstep dude with the UK grime connect who keeps the brostep to a minimum. Taken from Starkey’s ‘Open The Pod Bay Doors’ EP, released 31 October 2011 on Ninja Tune.

The latest project of Pendulum is now rocking hard, Rob Swire and fellow member Gareth McGrillen are throwing down real dope electro/dub/Moombahton. Knife Party made a remix of Save The World by Swedish House Mafia which caught the eye of Radio 1 on Zane Lowe’s show. Their first release will feature a Moombahton collaboration with dubstep producer Skrillex called “Zoology”. I am sure we can agree they won’t disappoint. Enough said lets get too business…. In between cartoons Adult Swim plays “bumps” featuring a viewer Q&A mail-in and response with the coolest sounding beats, largely hip hop instrumentals from the likes of the late great J Dilla and Flying Lotus. I first came across this track in the amazing Luvstep 2 mix compilation by Dirty Joe South and Flufftronix. Grab it HERE and treat your ears or your closest babe to some aural loving… By the way, Rx’s work also appears in the first Luvstep compilation also. Much love there also…

So now we move onto the next remix which I stumbled upon while trawling the net:

Holy shitballs. Turns out Cyriak Harris isn’t a stranger when it comes to bizarre videos. See HERE and this one HERE that is doing the rounds at the moment… Oh and the Cereal Spiller remix, while good, cuts no mustard to the Rx remix. My thoughts, whatevs…

Wow, just wow… It seems that a track that sound so layered and ethereal deserved a music video clip equally as beautiful and surreal. Video is directed by Alex Takacs and Joe Nankin. The ‘True Loves’ EP is available to purchase off iTunes at the moment and has a stack of remixes attached to it also. The album of the same name comes out June 7th.

High rotation might be an understatement… I can’t stop listening to this track, so much to the point it’s eating into the time I should be dedicating to giving Radiohead’s new album a proper listening session.

Anyway, the track is off Skream‘s album Outside The Box and features the distorted and filtered vocals of Sam Frank.
