According to every rapper’s autobiography track it includes selling snowflakes/crack, dope or other narcotics on the street, getting shot or shot at, then rapping about it in an autobiographical song. But according to tha non-hustlers anthem it involves designing ghetto fab street wear clothes, skate decks, harry high pants retro jeans from Japanese selvedge denim… and T-shirts… lots of T-shirts. Such is the story of Ben Epstein the “Token Neurotic Jew from New York” and Cam Calderon the smooov latino man who is about 5’7″… two homies from BK or somewhere in NYC living day to day selling jeans at Barneys, and doing other shit to make it happen. They are joined by Scott “Kid CuDi” Mescudi, that guy from American Pie, Shannyn Sossaman as their hipster cool supporting cast friends!

The show is pretty much the coolest, brooklynest, hipsterest, streetest shit going on… you’ve seen it in blogs so check it out on TV. You know it is that cool it is produced by Mark Wahlberg and his Entourage team.

Me and money. It’s like Jekyll and Hyde relationship. It often seems that the I’ll go through a phase of well-behaved, almost adult-like budgeting where I’m able to save and allocate funds to purely the important things in my life – which in this case, are bills and cash-ola towards my first home deposit. Then without any justification whatsoever I’ll go and blow my cash of anything and usually everything that I’ve been thinking of getting. Sadly the past few weeks have been leading me down the path of the latter…

So by now you’re probably wondering what I want to splurge my cash on right? Well, it all started with the purchase of the following which arrived today in the office:

After putting in the order for the above prehistoric relics I went down the path of another classic unleashed onto the public, the Nike Air Max Classic BWs… Did the spending stop there? Hell no… Next up was a pair of Vans Authentic in Red thanks to the guys over at Hell On Wheels. which have been a bit of a of bitch to find since word on the street is that Foot Locker is to be the main supplier, thus starving all retailers of supply. Of course a new pair of kicks needs a new pair of denim and I subsequently lashed out on a pair of raw Thin Finn Nudies. Expect another drop since I find out that the SuperBlue Thins are still available…

Of course it doesn’t end there. I have the following items in my sights. And no, they aren’t in order of need. Like I’d buy all of these first before getting a house…

3. New set of headphones – Indulgent purchase as the Senn’s I have haven’t skipped a beat. Sadly this looks like the cheapest item on the wishlist.

How I’m gonna justify any of them is gonna be tricky. Is Wheel Of Fortune still on TV? What about Big Brother Up Late? Those quizzes always looked like easy money… I could sell a few sneaks perhaps… Hmm…
