In Apple‘s all you can eat lawsuit bonanza against anyone and everyone making products and using software reminiscent of their iProducts, Samsung cited Stanley Kubrick‘s film A Space Odyssey: 2001 in its defense against an IP infringement claim, as tablet-like devices appeared in the film (and were also described in the book by Arthur C. Clarke.)

I just started playing LucasArts game studio adventure The Dig and screen capped the pic above… (I don’t know the story because I never played it in the ’90s, but as it was based on an idea by Steven Spielberg, I’m guessing it contains, or relates to aliens)… So this is probably evidence-enough for George Lucas to jump into the fray and start suing everybody for copyright infringement of tablet-like communication devices, amirite? My iPhone is shaped very similarly to the device… and it has icon app buttons too!
